Peter Anselm Riedl
Born 1930 in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, 1949-1955 studied art history, classical archaeology, German literary history and history at the University of Heidelberg, 1955 doctorate in Heidelberg, then until 1957 volunteer at the Hamburg Kunsthalle, 1957-1961 scholarship holder and research assistant at the Art History Institute in Florence, 1961-1963 head of the sculpture collection at the Hamburger Kunsthalle, 1963-1969 assistant and (since his habilitation in 1967) lecturer at the Department of Art History at the University of Marburg an der Lahn, from summer semester 1969 to winter semester 1997/98 holder of the Chair of Modern and Contemporary Art History at the University of Heidelberg; emeritus in the summer semester of 1998. August Heuser
Born in 1949 in Frankfurt/Main, studied Catholic theology and German language and literature and later completed a degree in art history. He worked, among other things, as a pastoral advisor and scientific assistant before becoming a consultant for art and culture in the Secretariat of the German Bishops’ Conference in Bonn in January 1998. A year later, he went to the Dommuseum in Frankfurt am Main as head curator, where he has been director since 2002. He represents the subject of art and church/religion with a focus on contemporary art at the Department of Catholic Theology in the Department of Pastoral Theology, Religious Education and Kerygmatics. Alexandros Tombazis
Born in 1939 in Karachi, Pakistan. Studied architecture at the National Technical University of Athens. After graduating in 1962, he worked as an assistant at the university. As head of Alexandros N. Tombazis and Associates Architects, he has been a member of various committees of international and national architectural competitions, such as the E.C. DG XII competition, EUROPAN competitions, PLEA competitions, among others. He is also a member of various committees on the use of alternative energy sources and bioclimatic architectural design. His work has been featured in numerous books and magazines in Greece and beyond.

José Barreto
Born 1948 in Vila Real, Portugal, historian with economic training (Budapest, 1974) and experience in the field of sociological research, has been a researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon since 1982. After devoting himself to the history of syndicalism and labour relations in Portugal, since the late 1990s he has been working on the history of the relationship between state and church and the political intervention of Catholics in Portugal in the 20th century. He wrote the book Religião e Sociedade about these topics. Dois Ensaios (Religion and Society. Two Essays. 2003). He has also published several articles on Fatima. He is currently working on a research project dealing with Fernando Pessoa’s political thought and the edition of his political and political-religious writings.
